The bathroom faucet was left on and flooded the bathroom, closet and hallway. We lifted the carpet in the closet and dried it in place. In the hallway, we removed the wet, damaged wood floors and set up drying equipment to ensure all the moisture is gone.
We received a call that the water line to the dishwasher busted and water leaked into the kitchen and bathroom. We removed wet, damaged flooring and subflooring and cleaned up debris. We placed drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air blowers to speed the drying process which will ensure that the customer will have a dry, clean and healthy environment free of mold and rot or decay that will cause future damage. We billed their insurance carrier for the work saving them thousands of out of pocket expenses.
Removed all of the old insulation in the crawl space before doing mold remediation. Did complete encapsulation of crawlspace as well as installing a dehumidifier and weather stripping around access door. We did a HEPA VAC of entire Crawlspace when installation was finished.
Complete encapsulation liner and dehumidifier system, we did find an issue with the way the original HVAC unit was installed that was a definite safety problem. Home owner was shown what was wrong with the way his HVAC unit was installed. He had an HVAC company come in and fix the problem for him. The customer is very happy with the difference the encapsulation made in the comfort level of his homes and the lower utility cost are noticeable already.
